What is ELITE Dock Protection?
Dock and piling bumpers from manufacturing partner Dock Armor, offered through ELITE. They help cushion normal docking contact at dock edges, pilings and outside corners.
What sizes are available?
Straight dock bumpers come in 2, 3, 6 and 7 ft lengths, with 2 × 2 ft outside corners. Contact ELITE to confirm piling bumper lengths and availability for your project.
Can I protect my pilings too?
Yes. Piling bumpers add vertical cushioning between your hull and the piling. Send photos and measurements so ELITE can confirm the length and fit for your berth.
Will it fit my existing dock?
Suitable fixed or floating docks need a sound mounting surface. A 2 × 8 fascia board is preferred; some 2 × 6 boards work. Send photos for review.
Do I need to remove the rub rail?
Usually not. The profile fits over many common dock rub rails. Compatibility should be checked before ordering.
Can I install it myself?
DIY installation is an option. Review the manufacturer’s installation instructions and confirm your mounting surface and fasteners before starting.
Is it suitable for marinas and saltwater?
Yes. Applications include private slips, yacht clubs and fuel docks. Specify the environment when ordering; saltwater installations use 316 stainless steel fasteners.
How do I care for it?
Rinse away salt, sand and debris. Clean with mild soap and water as needed. Trapped abrasive material can mark a hull, so keep the carpet clean.
