Step 1: Find the source of the leak

If your fender has snagged, torn, or been punctured—don’t worry. Every ELITE Fender includes a PVC patch, and repairs are straightforward. PVC repair glue is widely available online. Once you clean and prep the surface, you can apply the patch for a long-lasting fix.

If you're unsure where the air is escaping from, try this:

• Fully inflate the fender.
• Spray it with soapy water or wipe it down with a sponge.
• Watch for bubbles—they’ll show you exactly where the leak is.

Step 2: Diagnose the leak location

Bubbles coming from the PVC?

→ That’s likely a surface puncture. Use the included patch kit and PVC glue as described above.

Bubbles coming from the valve?

→ Let’s check a couple of things:

• The valve has two settings. Press the spring-loaded button once to open it (for deflation), and again to close it (for inflation). Make sure it's in the closed position.
• The valve may also need tightening. We include a valve key with each fender. Use it to gently tighten the valve clockwise—this often solves the problem.

Yes, we do sell covers. ELITE Fender Covers are made from a durable blend of 90% acrylic and 10% Lycra, offering both toughness and stretch for a perfect, snug fit. The acrylic provides excellent UV resistance and abrasion protection, while the Lycra ensures flexibility and smooth contours around your fender. The result is a high-performance cover that protects your hull, maintains its shape, and adds a refined finish to your setup—on deck or at the dock.
